In a book I recently acquired (Looking Back-A History of Bay Du Vin), there is a map of the original land grants for the Bay Du Vin area, NO, NB. I am looking for a land petition/grant for George Chambers. I have been to the PANB site and of course, there is no record showing up. The book was published in 1978 and in the back appendix the sources listed for the grants are "provincial archives land grants L14-L17"..

George had a lot on the east side of the Bay Du Vin river. Otho Robicheau had the lot to the north, P. Williston had the lot to the south.

If anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to look for a record, I would appreciate it.

I am looking at this map and it is just chock full of McDonalds, Willistons, Taylors, Buckleys, etc, etc-all the most popular names!
