My ggggrandfather and family came to Dallas Co., Tx. from Tnn. He was Isaac Wilson Griffin b. 1800 d.Dallas Co. 3-2-1872. and wife Elizabeth H.H. b. 1-31-1802 N.C. d. 11-9-1878 Dallas Co. Both are buried in the Lyons cemetary near mesquite. I have checked on their grave through the years and every time I went back more damage had been done. The last time I was there was 1988 and their headstones were in pieces. Has anyone been there lately? I'm so afraid it will be lost to city growth. Is there an inventory ever been made?
Their children were:
1.) Newton Cokely Griffin b. 1-31-1831 Tnn marr Sarah E. Gary 1-14-1858 Freestone Co., Tx (MY LINE)
2.) Martha Griffin b.abt. 1835 Tnn. marr. a ___James. Came to Tx. with folks.
3.) Mary E.Griffin b.1841 Tnn. marr. John M. Rowe (received Tx. land grant in Dallas Co., Tx. as well as his father William Rowe.)

7.) Andrew Jackson Viola Griffin (YES THIS WAS A GIRL!) b. 1851 Tx. marr 3 times to a 1.) John B. Ballard 2-13-1872 div. 2.) Napoleon Bates 12-10-1874 Dallas Co. had one child only and with Napoleon Bates. Daughter names Jessie Ann Bell Bates b. 1876. and 3.) James E.W. Berry on 11-20-1880 Dallas Co.
Have more info but I have been looking for this part of my family for 15 years all are lost to us after 1900. Anyone see anyone familiar?
Hoping and praying someone somewhere will see a link.
