Henry James MOORE[b. ca. 1827 possibly Dublin Ireland] and Catharine SCOTT [b. possibly Co. Cork Ireland]
were married in Roxbury MA on 7 Feb 1848.
Seeking info on them, their children, descendants, and cousins. Their daughter Anne was born in MA, ca. 1848/9. Then they moved to San Francisco CA, before 1855 / 56, when their son Thomas Henry MOORE was born. Other children all born in CA included Josephine MOORE b.ca. 1860, Henry Scott MOORE b.ca. 1862, William R. MOORE b.ca. 1864, and Mary Frances MOORE b.ca. 1866. There may be other children also.
My ggm was Catharine SCOTT's sister Mary SCOTT REGAN, and another sister was Jane SCOTT COHAN of Springfield and North Brookfield MA. Jane was the mother of entertainer Jere COHAN and gm of George M. COHAN, is said to have visited his MOORE cousins in San Francisco.
I have found some census info but that's just a start.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to find more about the MOOREs of San Francisco would be much appreciated.
