Looking for info on William H. Garthwaite who married Mary Jane post in Peekskill, NY about 1830, had the following children, William Garthwaite b. 1832, Joshua Garthwaite b.abt 1834, and George Winfield Garthwaite b. 5 Oct 1835 (Sgt, 11th Ct. Infantry (Civil War - POW at Andersonville Prison, GA). There is also believed to be a daughter, unlisted that would be the sister of George W. This was noted in a newspaper interview in 1900, (by George W. that he had a sister, , but there is no listing anywhere in the family the family history indicating such). George Winfield Garthwaite was my great grandfather..Any info re: his parents or siblings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
