Hello all,

I am trying to find out more information on my great-grand father Dr. William Edward O'Bryant, the same W.E. O'Bryant who's name is on the bell tower at UAPB. I've got some information on him in that he was born 1/20/1883 and passed away on 7/20/1967. He married a Ladye B.Stringer, but I can't find any information on her what-so-ever. I'm also hoping to find information on my grandfather who's was Edward O'Bryant. I was told he was adopted, but I am trying to find out wether or not he was, or was not, the natural son of Dr. W.E. O'Bryant or Ladye B. Stringer. I've been told that W.E. O'Bryant was a Prince Hall Mason and Lady B. an Eastern Star and I've written the Pine Bluff lodge requesting any information that they may have.

Dr. O'Bryant roots take him back to Newelton, LA, but I've had no luck in even tracking that place down on a map. Any help or push in the right direction would be helpful. I've exhausted many resouces available on the web already and think actual word of mouth from local Pine Bluffians who probably do better.
