I am searching (and it seems like in vain) for my above mentioned great grandmother. I believe she was born in St. John, New Brunswick (1886-1966). The parents are Hugh Dunphy (1836-1903) and Margaret Gillis (1831- ?). CVD's parents were both born on and died on PEI. I know CVD married Charles E. Gallagher (b.1886 Syracuse NY) in Boston on 25 October, 1908. At one point, the couple moved to Chicago with their new born son, Edward (2 August 1909-22 Aug. 1985). I have many records of CVD travelling to and from the US from Canada for employment. She never traveled with her husband or son. I gave no other records of her son, Edward until he reached adulthood. Charles seems to have disappeared. I would be profoundly grateful if any of you clever people shared any information about Catherine and/or Charles and Edward.
