Thomas Franek (b. 1888) listed his place of birth as follows:
in 1917: Olsotizin, Hungary
in 1942: Chihena, Czechoslakia (Czechoslovakia)
(Thomas could not read or write, so these are phonetic spellings!)
I have searched online for such places, and perhaps Chihena is Cierna?? I am at a loss though for Olsotizin.
I can only guess that the first became a part of the second after the first WW? If anyone can help with this, I will certainly appreciate it.
