James Isaac Brooks - Australian or Canadian?

I have a very elusive great grandfather by the name of JAMES ISAAC BROOKS who disappeared from South Australia sometime between 1890 and 1894.

James was married to Eliza O'Mahony (nee Hancock) in Adelaide South Australia in 1887. According to his marriage certificate, he was born c1862 at Wallaroo and his father's name was Abraham Brooks. (That's all the info I have on him as South Australian certificates at that time were rather useless). James and Eliza had two children, Stella Nora Brooks born in 1887 and Hilda Ilma Brooks born 1890.

The problem is that although he was supposedly born in Australia, I can find no records of his birth, death or divorce anywhere in Australia.

However, it was recently brought to my attention that there was a James Brooks born in 1862, father's name Abraham, who appeared on the 1881 census at Collingwood, Grey, Ontario, Canada.

I have checked this out online, but I do not have access to the 1891 census to see whether he was shown as still living in Canada then. Is there someone in Canada who could do this for me please?

I would also appreciate it if someone could check the Ontario births around 1862 for the birth of this James (Father Abraham - mother ?) to see whether he had a middle name recorded?

Many many thanks to anyone who is able to help.
