Hi everyone,

I just discovered that the Gilbert conection in my family and was looking for the information. First, what can you guys tell me about the Gilbert family of America? When did they arrive here and is there anyone member that most of us descend from?

Also, my connection is with Elizabeth Gilbert who married Enoch McHone in 1854, I believe in Indiana. She was born in 1831 in Tenn. This is all I know of her currently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
