Have a sworn affidavit that Nicholas Laughman(Lachman) of Limerick Twp., Montgomery County (then Philadelphia County), PA, a Private in the Second Company of the Sixth Battalion of Militia was wounded in an engagement with the British Troops near the White Horse Tavern in Chester County on the 16th of Sept in the year 1777. The affidavit was signed on the 24th of March 1786, by Benj. Brooke, Captain, Samuel Evans, Ensign and David Davis, Lieut., Officers on duty.
