I am trying to help a cousin solve a family mystery which involves the death of a child whose first name is unknown. (The parents' names and ages are known.) We believe there was a daughter born sometime between 1914 and 1924 in Milwaukee, but who died by 1930 and most likely between 1924 and 1930. I've noticed the WI Death Index only goes up as far as 1907. How could I go about finding either a birth or a death record? Will the state archives or health department be of any help? What resources might there be for me? (Forgive my ignorance if this is common knowledge; I usually don't research Wisconsin.) Thanks for any help you can provide.
