I am writing to try and track down a little family history on my Great Grandfather. He came to the United States in 1907 in NY NY. According to the information passed down from my family he was from Athens or Corinth, Greece. His parents were August & Katherine Zarkos-Thoron. Supposedly they were Olive Grove farmers. If you would know any family history on this name...please pass it along as we are stumped on the true knowledge of our family history. We are in the process of researching our name's history. It could have possibly been shortened from Thorins, Thoronopolis, or Thoronopoulos.
