Thomas Albert Cain, the son of Thomas Cain and Pheobe Hustis, was born in 1843. He married Amelia “Millie” Sybil Worden, the daughter of Isaac Worden and Deborah Rupert of Mill Brook, Queens County, at Sussex Parish, Kings County on 13 Jun 1883 (Source: Saint John Daily Times, 16 Jun 1883; Visitor, 13 Jun 1883). She was born 02 Apr 1859.
He is listed as a resident of Hatfield’s Point in 1903 (Source: Hutchinson’s New Brunswick Directory (Saint John: McAlpine Publishing County, Ltd., 1903), p. 763). Upon his death on 23 Jul 1928, Cain bequeathed to his adopted son Otty the family farm, known as the Thomas Cain homestead, including all livestock, machinery, and furniture (Source: PANB, RS 141 C5, Provincial Death Register, 019013). To his daughter Pearl, he left all of the money in his bank account. His estate included 258 acres in Stewarton, valued at $600, and 130 acres in Wickham, Queens County, which was valued at $100. His wife, and John Urquhart were appointed as trustees of the estate (Source: The Last Will and testament of Thomas Cain: PANB, RS 66, Kings County Probate Court Records, 1928).

Thanks for the offer of a picture. If you have it scanned, I'd be pleased to accept a copy. I'm particularly interested, however, in Otty's mother. Do you have a name and dates for her? Are you also familiar with his adopted family, the Cain's? Did he ever get married, and have children? If not, what ever happened to the Thomas Cain farm? I'd appreciate any info you can offer.
