Hi Everyone!
I am trying to research my de la Cerda ancestors and know very little about them. What I know is:
Nepomuceno de la Cerda, born between 1749-1751 in Los Adaes, Texas when Texas was still a province of Mexico. Los Adaes, according to a map located in Ralph Steen Library, Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, TX, is now in Louisiana near Natchitoches, Louisiana and was a Spanish Mission at that time.
He married Maria Celedine Flores who was born Bet. 1759 - 1766 in Los Adaes, TX, also. They had a daughter named Manuela de la Cerda born Bet. 1782 - 1788 in Nuestra Senora del Pilar de Nacogdoches, TX, simply known as Nacogdoches, Nacogdoches County, Texas today. Manuela de la Cerda married Jose Maria Procella presumably in Nacogdoches, TX. They had the following known children:
Jose de Jesus Procella - my ancestor who married Mary Martina Martines
Maria Telesfara Procella
Jose de Policarpio Procella
Maria Vicenta Procella
Maria del Pilar Procella
Jose de Antonio Procella
Does anyone out there connect with my de la Cerda ancestors?
Pat
