I am trying to determine whether Wallace Reed is my great grandfather's father. On the 1870 census there is a Jackson born about 1863-4 listed as a son of Wallace and Elizabeth Reed. My great grandfather's full name was Alfred Jackson Reed. My great grandfather was in Missouri by the 1880 census. Wallace's family had moved to Illinois before the 1870 census, but the census lists Jackson's birthplace as Indiana. Wallace had a brother by the name of Andrew Jackson Reed. So I am not sure if the Jackson on the 1870 census is Alfred Jackson or if Jackson is Andrew Jackson. My great grandfather went by Jackson quite a bit.
