Granddaughter of James (Jim) Yates (b 1893 Pike Co) & Lonna Belle Gibson (died 1950s). Jim was brother to Malcolm (married Grace Hylton), Earmel (married Lillian, longtime resident of Williamson), Donley, Drewey, Beulah, Pearlie (believed to have married last name Bragg), and more. Lonna was sister to Walter Gibson and Clayton Gibson, once known to live at Millard Bottom.
Great-granddaughter of Amos Yates (b 1865/66 Buchanan Co VA) & (1) Martha McCoy (b 1867? Pike Co, daughter of Allen McCoy & Elizabeth Blankenship), and (2) Roxie (unknown last name or ANYTHING about her.) Amos Yates is my brick wall.
