I am looking for info on a Frederick ATKINS, born abt 1832/34
Army service known -
Citadel Barracks, Plymouth, Devon Oct 1860 (marriage)

1861 census has him in the army and his birthplace stated as Stafford, Buckinghamshire? aged 27

11 Brigade Royal Regiment of Artillery, Dublin 1865/66, had 2 children, Portobello Barracks

1870, Aldershot had 1 daughter

Chelsea 1874, had 1 son born

The 1871 census again has him in the amy, aged 39? this time in Sheffield Yorkshire but states that his birthplace is Evesham, Northamptonshire, I rechecked the transcription and believe it should read SYRESHAM, Northamptonshire?

His marriage cert to Ann Steer in 1860 Plymouth (Citadel Barracks) states that he was 30 years old and his fathers name was James

He is stated as 'deceased' on his son's Ernest William birth Cert, Son born 19 Jan 1880, I assume father Frederick died within 9 months before the birth? I cannot find anything about his death, maybe he died while still in the army?
