Hopefully someone can help me out with this family. I am looking for any info, be it city directories, marriage liscenses, death/birth certificates, school records, anything! They were in Omaha from appox 1882-1900 give or take a year or two. Before Omaha they were in Peoria Ill (1880), and Chicago (1870).

William H. McGregor, carpenter. Born ~1843 in Ontario. I do not know when or where he died, I am trying to find that out. His wife, Helen (van Valkenburg) born ~1847 in New York or Canada. They were married in 1869 (where i have yet to find out). I have info on her. I have her placed in Seattle, Washington in 1900 and at that time she says she was widowed.
1) Edith Irene born august 1870 in Chicago. In April 1890 she married one Renex C. Fint (LDS has his name as Ran G. Fink) They had on child in Omaha, Sydney born 1891. In 1900 they were in Spokane, WA.
2) William Howard McGregor born 1872 in Chicago. He met his wife, Annie Jane Kreidler in Omaha while she was at school, and married her in ~1892 in South Dakota, then moved to North Dakota. He was also a carpenter/plumber/steamfitter as a young man.
3) Maude b ~1875 in Illinois. She married one Harry Griffiths, an Englishman, the day AFTER her sister Edith. They had children Mozelle or Zella b~1890 (birthdate seems to be before they were married) and George b 1893 in Omaha. By 1900 they also were in Seattle.
4)Ellen b~1879 Illinois
5)Samuel b~1882 Illinois. He also came to the Dakotas, worked for his brother for a while, and married a local girl. In the 1930's he was killed in a rock-crusher accident near Sydney, Montana.
6)Grace E.? born April 1887 in Omaha. By 1900 she was in Seattle with her mother.
7) Lillian I? born May 1890 in Omaha. By 1900 she was in Seattle, and married one Orrin Lohman by 1910.

Thanks in advance to anyone with help! If you have info please let me know. None of the children in this family had many children except my GGGrandfather, William Howard McGregor. So, they have been hard to trace!!! Thanks again ~Maria Barnhardt
