Does anyone know why the name of George's wife Mary, who was born Mary C Crighton in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead, UK was altered from Symons to Crighton in the 1901 census for Wandsworth? Or what happened to the family? Can't find a marriage, death for Mary or George or marriage or death for their daughter Madeleine J.Symons.
I know about Jane, George's mother-in-law.
Perhaps he's the George Symons charged with convicted of fraud at the Old Bailey a few years later?
