Can anyone help me that might know about the Polish language? Would someone coming to America before 1850 (census states born in Poland) write a second "s" for the diacritic "s"? Also, if the name was spelled Mros~owski would the pronouncing be something like Mro shov ski? Any help will be appreciated.
