Father, mother and daughter drowned, but son Alexander age 8 was the only survivor of the wreck. Ship was on the way to St. John, New Brunswick. Not sure if it came from Scotland or England, or even the States. Alexander was born in 1753 or 4. Info on him is sketchy. One record shows him as being Scottish and another one states he was born in Sandwich, Mass. He was rescued by John McKenna of Checoggin, Yarmouth, N.S.
