This group is for anyone who has been given an mtDNA haplogroup A designation. (Regardless of surname or location)

According to Ancestry.com; Your maternal ancient ancestors migrated into Asia around 50,000 years ago and crossed the Bering Straight Land Bridge into the new world, so they're found in notable rates among today's populations of Native Americans in Canada, the western US and central Mexico. Remains of a young Incan girl found in the Andes Mountains in Peru indicate that she was an Architect. So it's likely you have an ancestral connection to the Incan Empire.
