Stephen & Elizabeth married in Edmonton c 1904 . They had 6 kids , the last being Stanley Milton FERGUSON b 26 Nov 1912 , Edmonton.

Something happened as they left Edmonton probably by train to Montreal and embarked on the SS Andania that arrived Plymouth UK 25 Nov 1913

They were in England till Mar 1914 when they embarked on the Beltana for Sydney Australia

This tends to be one of those family puzzles that throws up questions and no answers as to WHY leave Canada ?, If so why not via Vancouver to Sydney? To the best of our knowledge Stephen was a farmer and didn't know anyone here.
The logistics of this journey with 6 little kids would have been a challenge in 1914 !

Stephen was a Canadian. Elizabeth Minnie ( nee MAPLE) was from England
