I am searching for the descendants of Ambrose Fredenburgh and W.H Fredenburgh who owned a substantial farm on Ontario, a line of barges that sailed the Rideau Canal, and many mills around Westport Ontario. Ambrose Fredenburgh was the father of Norman Franklin Fredenburgh my Great Grandfather and his brother Charles Fredenburgh who were born in Ontario. At some point Norman Franklin Fredenburgh moved back to New York State Wellesley Island and started his family and had two daughters Cleora Fern Fredenburgh born on Wellesley Island in 1889 and her sister Mildred "Bober" Fredenburgh who was born in 1890 or 91. Norman Franklin Fredenburgh passed away when he was in his mid 30s and subsequently my grandmother Cleora Fern Fredenburgh was sent to live with her uncle Charles Fredenburgh and his family in Lansdowne Ontario. I do not know where Mildred or their mother Evelina Moore Fredenburgh went after his death. I know there are lots of cousins of my grandmother , one of which may be named Floyd who may have been born around 1887ish. Any help that anyone can give me in finding my long lost family I would be great appreciative.
