McPHERSON, KS -- Descendants of Allen A. Trego, Harry S. Trego and Robert Trego had their first family reunion. The event was July 4 in the City Park in McPherson.
Edgar P. Trego, great uncle of Allen A. Trego, Harry S. Trego and Robert Trego, was a captain in the 8th Kansas Regiment volunteers in the Civil War. He was killed Sept. 19, 1863, in the battle of Chickamauga. Trego County in Kansas was named in his honor.
More than 50 adults and 20 children attended the reunion.
The group visited and viewed many albums and pictures of Trego families.
