I got my Ancestry DNA analysis and have a question. I am 100% European. The surprise was the 45% Scandinavian, since there are no recorded Scandinavian ancestors on either side (and I have records going back several hundred years). The other ethnicities are Iberian Penn 13% (also a surprise, no Spanish or Portuguese ancestors), Western Europe 11% (not a surprise, I expected as much as 40% Western Europe), Greece/Italy 10% (another surprise!), Eastern Europe 9%, British Isles 8% (another surprise, I expected this to be much higher), and Irish 4%.
My question is about ranges given that start at 0. My Scandinavian range is 24-64%. Every other ethnicity has a range of from 0% up to as much as 33%.
So why would all of my ranges except one include a zero in the range? Does anyone understand this and can you please explain it to me? Thanks!
