Will of Samuel Pearson of Coolsprings Township, Mercer Co., PA
I Samuel Pearson of Coolsprings Township in the county of Mercer and the state of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my last will and testament. First I direct that my body be decently interred and my funeral expenses paid as hereinafter directed. And as to such estate as I may have at my decease, I dispose of the same as follows: First, I do hereby give and devise to my son, Samuel Pearson, his heirs and assignes twenty five acres of land off the north end of the tract of land whereon I now reside and to my son Charles Pearson his heirs and assigns twenty five acres off the same tract lying next to and adjoining the land above devised to my son Samuel. Also I do hereby give and devise to my son John Pearson all the remainder of my real estate and all my personal property of every kind, subject to the payment of the following legacies or sums of money to wit: the sum of one hundred dollars to my daughter Rachel Morris(?) and a like sum of one hundred dollars to my daughter Mary Stroud and also to the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses and I hereby make and ordain my said son John Pearson executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I , Samuel pearson, the testator, have to this my will set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one. Signed, sealed published and declared by the above named Samuel Pearson as and for his last will and testament in presence of us who have hereunto set our hands as witnesses *** in presence of said testator of each other.

Be it remembered that on the 29th day of Jany AD 1853 personally appeared before one Register for the probate of wills in and for said County, Johnson Pearson and D W. Findley the subscribing wittnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn and affirmed according to law did depsoe and say that they were present with and saw the Testator Samuel Pearson sign said will and heard him declare the same to be his last will and testament and at the time of so doing he the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of deponents knowledge, observation and belief. And that deponents signed their names in the presence of and at the request of said Testator . Sworn and subscribed before me this 29th day of jany AD 1853 . DW Findley, Johnson Pearson
