So my paternal great great grandmother's name is Florence/Flower Chaney, her first husband is Wesley Lemons who is my great great grandfather. Florence was born in 1858 in Arkansas and Wesley was born in 1855 in Arkansas, I Believe both of them were born in Arkansas County. I believe that both of them were slaves due to the fact that I cannot find any information on them before 1870, I actually cannot find any records on Wesley Lemons besides the marriage record with Flower. Now with Flower I found her on the 1900 and 1910 census. In 1886 she married a man named Ephraim Johns. Overall she had 11 children, one of which was my great grandmother Malissa/Malissie Lemons who married a man named Jim/James White. Please help me find out more information on Florence and Wesley. My father told me that Malissa/Malissie had American Indian ancestry as well as African ancestry but I am not sure about how true that is.
