I have been frustated with the staff as it comes to creating surname boards. Over the years I have come across many SURNAMES that do not have a board yet so I ask for a board.
Most of the time a usable board is created by e staff and is soon holding a new entry for the surname I asked for.
But sometimes a board is created that is barely usable if at all.
Such as the AZZARITO surname board. If you use "Find A Board", the url you are given doesn't work. The URL:
http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.azzarito%20/mb.ashxjust gives you the error:
Server Error in '/' Application.
If you have been around databases a while you know that the %20 doesn't belong there.
I remove the %20 from the URL and now you can see the board, allowing you to see there is one entry there. Now all you should have to do is click on the one entry but it gives you the URL :
http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.azzarito%20/1/mb.ashxAgain I have to remove the %20 from the URL to see the entry.
I've tried to explain this to the staff in verious reported problems reported and each time the best I can get is ONE board fixed, and at worst I am just blown off as a non-problem.
NO User will go that far to read tne entry there, much less add info with another post.
This is a problem that all staff needs to be aware of, the %20 (trailing space character) has no place in defining or pointing to a database or database entry.
I think that it would be best to fix it with software. When the staff defines a pointer to a database, a database, or pointer to database entries just remove trailing blanks would make this a non-problem.

Other examples are the SUIAUNOA%20%20 fiasco, and the MARTINOVSKY%20 board poiters.
There are about 40 more misdefined boards that I'd be glad to enumerate if this problem can be solved.
