I have a family document written in 1954 that states: "Francis Bartlett Wynne, a grandson of John Huddleston Wynne, enlisted in Philadelphia. When winter came they were in Virginia. The company disbanded and some returned to their homes. Francis stayed in Virginia, reinlisting there, and fought through the war. Meantime, he had married a Miss Whitfield. At the close of the war he received his land grant in Georgia, which was just beginning to attract settlers." I have been unable to find any documentation of his war service, nor his wife's first name. They had a son, John Wynne, born abt 1780 in Georgia. Please see if you have any documentation about the war service of Francis Bartlett Wynne. I appreciate it.
