Seeking information on my great grandfather, Matthew C. Blackmon. He was born 3/19/1875 in Cullman Co., Alabama and died 7/19/1933 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was married to Dora Alice Roberts and they had six children (Ercy, Brice, Thurman, Lucille, Ida, and Alda). My cousins believe Matthew was sheriff of Cullman County somewhere between 1890 to 1906. Any information would be appreciated; however, the names of his parents would be tremendous!
