I would like to see an easy and automated way to indicate direct ancestors - either having the names in bold or a color, or perhaps a differently-colored background or box.
The methods currently in use - capitalizing the last name, a picture of a tree, etc. - work fine for some, but create extra work for those of us who have to change the caps if we get info from another tree. I also prefer to use photos of ancestors (where possible), photos of ancestral homes, or photos of grave sites, so using a generic photo doesn't work for me.
I do like the new relationship feature, but that requires that I actually be editing a particular person at the time, and I would prefer something that could easily be seen in an overview. For example, if I'm editing my 7th great-grandmother, I could see which of her children is my direct ancestor.
There are a lot of good improvements in the "new" ancestry, and it seems this would be fairly easy to implement as a global change, and one that people could use or not.
Thanks, and I do hope people will comment on this!
