Trying to figure out what part of the tree this branch fell off of.

I am attempting to track down the parents of one Jeremiah Sidney Truesdell; alias Sidney J, alias Sidney, alias Sid, alias Sid J.

Born 1836 in New York City, living in Salem New Jersey according to his Civil War enlistments papers, location of enlistment was Philadelphia, September 1864. Had some prior military service, looks like on the USS Mississippi from 1852-1854. Served in the Union Navy, his ship was part of the blockade and he wound up in Alabama after the war. Married a southern gal named Georgia and raised a family.

I would gladly share info on his descendants.
