My grandmother was born and raised just the other side of the river from Wakefield. Her name was Sarah (Lena) Colbert. She married James Sargeant whom had immigrated to Canada from England around 1910. He had been working as a farm hand for a family named Newton. I've been researching my grandmothers family and have been unable to locate info on her mother, father or stepfather. Her mother, Laura, remarried a John Easey, however I have no idea who her first husband was. I am from Michigan so I'm not sure how to find some of the info in Quebec. Any info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
