Hi, I'm new to the board. Because of finding out that my family was probably melungeon, I had to have some certainty. I spoke to Dr. Donald Panther Yates via email and chose the DNA Consultants in N.M. I did the cheek swabs, which I think is called the DNA Fingerprint? I was expecting a fingerprint test; ha! Here's my question: My melungeon roots (if I have any) would be through the Coopers, Collins, Coles, Turners, Elys and the Mallets. These are not all necessarily through the female line. These names are scattered through both sides. Could someone tell me if I will receive the data only from my mom's female line, since I am female? Thanks and God bless. Tamara
