Delaware was a J.P. in Early Co., GA. His father-in-law, Benjamin Columbus COLLIER, established the county seat. See "The COLLIER Papers" , or "COLLIER COUSINS", for more about that topic. Delaware died in 1844 in Blakely, GA. After the 12 wagons to Tyler Co., TX., his 3rd child , James Torrence FREEMAN, married Columbia (probably) BAKER. After the 1870, Tyler Co., TX. census, she and >9 y.o. son, James are not known of. It is believed she went back to Early Co., GA. Would like input on BAKER connection???, and/or James (b1861 TX) FREEMAN, someone from Early Co., GA. should have something to add , or correct, our FREEMAN history. much thanks , Kenneth ,in Tyler Co., Tx.
