Was an article that asked a question from a reader:
There is a beautiful old mausoleum in Woodland Cemetery, off Francis Street, that is badly in need of repairs. The name Dr. W.H. PALMER is on the front of it with the date, 1897. It would be a shame if it is allowed to fall down. Who is responsible for its upkeep?
The article went on to say that there are no family around and no perpetual care fund was ever set up.
Does any of our readers in the Jackson area have the experence to find out if this can be saved? Is there interest in doing something about this? Carole
