MARSHALL, Edith Phyllis - 85, Thorburn, died April 21, 1997, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Chichester, Sussex, England, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Frank and Sarah Jane (Pennells) Philmore. She was a resident of Thorburn all of her married life, moving to Thorburn in 1944 as a war bride. In her earlier years, she received her trade as a seamstress. Surviving are daughters, Elaine (Mrs. Joseph Bonin), New Minas; Mora (Mrs. Robert MacNeil), Little Harbour; sons, Robert, John, Thorburn; Fred, Toronto; Norman, New Glasgow; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John Alexander (Alex); infant son, Peter; brothers, Owen Leslie (Pat), Archibald Ernest Henry. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, both in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Rev. Glenn MacDonald officiating. Burial in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations to any charity.
