John Corey born in Rhode Island c1793-94, died in Northampton, Fulton Co, NY before 1860. I have been told that the 1855 census lists John as 61, living in Northampton 50 years, which means he arrived in Northampton, Montgomery Co, New York about 1805 at age 11. I have been told his parents could be William Corey and Sarah Dyer Clarke, but they lived and raised their family in the Corey Homestead in Rhode Island. I have been told his parents could be Joseph Corey and Ann Reynolds, but they weren't married until 1799. Need help establishing who John's parents were. My husband participated in a DNA test and results show he is a decendant of William Cory of Portsmouth, Rhode Island who died c1681-82.
