Can anyone tell me why my dad was not born at home in the middle of the war. He was born at Sandygate, Wath upon Dearne when my Grandparents lived in Blackburn (now part of Rotherham). His two brothers who were born in 1939 and 1946 were both born at home. My Grandad was away fighting in the war at the time of my Dad's birth and they had no transport.
