My great grandfather Charles "Charley" Swan arrived in the United States in 1821 at Philadelphia aboard the Brig Hal, out of Belfast. He was accompanied by his father, J. Swan, his mother (name unknown) , and by his sisters Elizabeth, Maria, and Sarah.

According to the records I have found, Charles was born in Antrim County (parish unknown) in 1796. His father, J. Swan, was 63 at the time of their arrival in Philadelphia, making his birth year about 1758.

I am very interested in locating information about this family and their ancestors in Ireland, and I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone might provide. Thanks in advance.
