I am researching the Henry & Patience Gilbert family that moved from Garrard Co (?) KY and settled in Hendricks Co IN bef 1840. Henry b 1778 VA d Apr 1850 Hendricks Co IN. m 15 May 1815 in Amherst Co VA to Patience Brown b 1789 VA. They were the parent of at least 9 children:

2.Joseph H b 1817 VA m Mary Ellen Dehart;
3.Ruth M b 1819 VA m Oliver Huddleston;
4.Abraham E. b 1820 KY m Nancy M. Mehallen;
5.John M. b 1822 KY m Catherine -?-;
6.Judith C b 1822 KY;
7.Mary A b 1827 KY m John C Strain;
8.William Holman b 1829 m1 Rachael Osborn; m2 Mary M Ivy; m3 Derinda Stoubaugh;
9.Elizabeth R. b 24 Jan 1831 KY m John Rutledge.
I would like to exchange info with anyone also researching these families. There seem to be other Gilbert families in Hendricks after 1850 but I do not know if they are related. I am trying to find the parents of Henry and Patience.
