Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me sourcing Northern Ireland records in order to find the above gentleman? I have tried looking on the N. Ireland census site but there don't seem to be any Roberts at all. I think he was born in Belfast around 1900 and died sometime in the early 1970's. He lived in Belfast for most of his life, for the last 40 or so years living in Tavenagh Street, he was an industrial sewing machine mechanic. He had at least two siblings, one brother who married a woman known as 'Nellie', and another brother, we think, who emigrated to Canada. He played football for Ulster, winning several caps; he also played rugby and cricket and was a TT racer. I wonder if anyone has any newspaper stories? Robert was married at least twice, not sure how many children he had but he did have a daughter Violet.

I have looked on Familysearch.org where there are a lot of Roberts but no other clues so I'm a bit stumped! Really not sure how I go about getting information from Northern Ireland so any help would be gratefully received, I know I'm asking a lot but at present it's a real brickwall and I know how clever you folks out there are at knocking those down!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
