While doing genealogy research at the Washtenaw County Courthouse for a client, I came across the following death certificate and am transcribing it here in the event that it might be helpful to others:

Joseph Louis Banar
- Widowed white male
- Born July 11, 1912 in Elsie, MI to Thomas Banar & Elizabeth Agnes Miros
- Czechoslovakian ancestry
- Completed 8 years of elementary & junior high school
- Worked as a carpenter for the construction industry
- Resided at 12723 Ostrander Rd, Apt #4, London Twp, Monroe County, MI 48159
- SS# 372-03-7465
- Died on February 9, 1996 at the age of 83 years at Saline Community Hospital, following an inpatient stay
- Cause of death was cerebral infarction, also had atrial fibrillation
- No autopsy was performed
- Funeral arrangements through Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan, Washtenaw County, MI
- Buried at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan, Washtenaw County, MI
- Informant was Mary Gasilo, 14165 Oakville-Waltz Rd, Willis, MI 48191
