I am still looking for info on William H. Freer, born in Ohio to Jonathon and Hannah (Swords) Freer. I have found out that William had two brothers (one is Thomas) and two sisters. The family moved to Randolph County, Indiana, then Missouri before 1849, where Jonathon died in Atchison County. It was here that William married Zerelda Stucker. In April or May of 1849, William set out to California with his wife, three children (Alexander, James Bascom and Matilda M.,) his mother, two sisters, and two brothers. One brother (not Thomas) died en route. They arrived in September or October of '49. I have much history of this family after they arrived in California, however I am trying to piece together the time before their migration. Any names and details you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
