A Hoy cousin has forwarded a photo of the marker of Adelia A. HOY to me, taken just last summer. Her marker is in front of a woven wire farm fence, with rolls of hay beyond. There are two similar looking markers to the immediate right, possibly also related, but not readable in the photo. I was hoping someone might know which cemetery this is in, so we could follow up on it further. She died on 15 October 1853 in Manchester.
Adelia A. Hoy was the daughter of Charles H. Hoy and his first wife, Mary Ann Banks. Charles probably died before 1850, as four of his children were living in various Manchester households during the 1850 census. Charles had remarried in 1843, so his first wife probably died between 1840 and 1842. Their son William H. Hoy died between 1852 and 1855, and their daughter Emily (Hoy) Bostedor died about 1865. Charles apparently had a daughter named Mary with his second wife - Mary may have married William Smith in Manchester during 1861, but they have been impossible to trace so far. Any or all of them may be buried near Adelia, with or without markers.
Any help would be appreciated!
