Through some DNA matches on ancestry and FamilyTreeDNA, I believe I have been able to determine who my husband’s maternal birth grandmother was. Her name was Catherine Irene Toops Krechowski and she passed away in 2002 in Duarte, California. I have a lot of information on her however, I still cannot locate his birth mother. I have found 2 of her first cousins on facebook and they have been somewhat helpful, but they won’t confirm that I have the right person or tell me anything about her. Her name was Barbara Louise Jenkins and she was born in Chicago around 1951. I believe her mother moved her and her sisters to the Los Angeles area after my husband was born in 1967 (also in Chicago). Does anyone have any ideas on how to locate her?
