Sturgis; Lillian Irene HEATH, 83, formerly of Leonidas and Colon, died Feb. 17, 1992, at the Sandcastle Adult Foster Care Home, Klinger Lake.
She was born Oct. 6, 1908, in Decatur Township, a daughter of Clarence and Celia (WAITE) BARKER. When she was age 8, she was adopted by Walter and Fannie BUSH.
On Dec. 19, 1925, she married Harry W. HEATH Sr., in Kalamazoo. He died in 1972.
She had worked as waitress and also was employed at the G.W. Pizza, Mendon. She retied in 1973 from Research Molding, Mendon. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting.
Surviving are four sons, Harry HEATH Jr. and Willard HEATH, both of Mendon, Durwood HEATH, Leonidas and Ronald HEATH, Lake Wales, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) THRAMS, Colon; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert, in 1981.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at the Eickhoff Funeral Home, Mendon, where services are at 3 p.m. Thursday. David Farrell will officiate. Burial will be in Leonidas Cemetery.
