I am looking for any information on Catherine Byrne /Byrnes, born ca. 1834-35 Wicklow, Ireland, who migrated to Australia in 1849, died Cargo NSW 1899 (married to Denis Clancy).
Her father is listed on her death certificate as Christopher Byrne, mother unknown.
She may possibly be the 15 year old Irish female orphan Catherine Byrne arriving Sydney Australia on the "Lismoyne" on 3 December 1849, listed as from Dublin, needlewoman, parents Christopher and Rosanna both death, RC, can't read or write, no relatives in the colony, and "Rathdowne Union" in the immigration notes.
She named her second daughter Rosanna [her first being named after her husband's mother].
Does anyone know anything of this family?
