William Finneran (1823-1891, Galway) married Hannah Tierney, is the 3rd ggrandfather of my wife. William had John C Finneran, who had a son John Finneran, who had a son Donald Liam Finneran - my wife's grandfather.

I found public trees that showed William's father/mother as Patrick James Finneran (1788-1848, Roscommon) and Mary Kilmartin (1790-1847, Roscommon)but I couldnt find any supporting evidence. What I did find was a death certificate for William Finneran with parents Cornelius/Catherine. My wife's family was all in Columbus, OH and that is were THIS William died. The dates match with what I had previously, but I have nothing else to support. Does anyone have this in their lines as well?

I also found three sets of Finneran/Tierney familes all having their own familes around the same time. I'm wondering if they are all related? I found: Patrick Finneran/Ann Tierney, William Finneran/Hannah Tierney and Micheal Finneran/Bridget Tierney.
